Founded in Daegu, South Korea, in 1962, ILKWANG LIGHTING is a lighting brand that has produced incandescent bulbs for over 60 years. Much like the incandescent bulb that has illuminated our daily lives from up close, ILKWANG LIGHTING has long contemplated the essence of light and the way people live. Today, this accumulated manufacturing expertise, craftsmanship, and profound understanding of light form the cornerstone of ILKW's design philosophy.

With the end of its final incandescent bulb production in 2022, ILKWANG LIGHTING transitioned from a light source manufacturer into ILKW, a lifestyle lighting brand focused on light fixtures. Based on the principles of 'Long-life Design' and 'Affordable Luxury,' we offer universal and sustainable lighting that can be used and loved across generations. Furthermore, rooted in an understated Korean aesthetic and a relentless commitment to product integrity, we strive to create lighting that grows in depth over time.

The signature SNOWMAN Series, with its simple structure connecting two soft circular shapes, symbolically represents the sense of form and light that ILKW pursues. Formed as a single shape—as if blown up like a balloon—and engineered with a unique light scattering structure for the internal LED source, it delivers soft, uniform light without any shadow interference. Even during the day when the light is turned off, it naturally blends into the space like a sculptural objet. Starting with a table lamp in 2021, the SNOWMAN Series has now expanded to 17 models. ILKW offers around 20 diverse lighting collections, including portable, table, floor, pendant, and ceiling & wall lamps.

ILKW's products can be found in various design stores and lifestyle spaces across eight countries worldwide, including South Korea, MoMA Design Store New York in the US, ACTUS and LIVING MOTIF in Japan, and PRINTEMPS in France.
