Expanding into various categories including table, pendant, and portable lamps, SNOWMAN Series stands as the iconic signature of ILKW. Among them, SNOWMAN8—its smallest model—is a portable light that, alongside its dedicated docking station, opened new possibilities for how we interact with traditional lighting. While SNOWMAN8 was widely loved for its compact portability and convenience, there was a growing desire for brighter light, longer runtimes, and a stronger presence. Staying true to the essential identity, we created a SNOWMAN with enhanced performance and a more defined presence. Introducing the new SNOWMAN12.

We curated four optimal color pairings : Oatmeal & Cocoa, Silver & Light Mint, Carrot & Pink, and Butter & Baby Blue. By contrasting different materials and colors, SNOWMAN12 carries a more distinctive presence. Expanding the shade’s diameter to 12cm also called for a more substantial body, and we introduced a balloon-like base plate to bring balance to the overall form.

We redesigned the packaging as well. Drawing on the proportions and warmth of the cookie tin cases we used to receive in our childhood, we designed the packaging to turn the moment of gifting a lamp into a warmer, more lasting memory.

We expanded the 900mAh battery from SNOWMAN8 to 5,000mAh, extending the maximum usage time from 60 hours to 260hours. We also doubled the light output compared to SNOWMAN8, widening the range of illumination to a level where text can be clearly read within approximately 50cm. Despite the battery capacity increasing by roughly 5.6 times, we designed the charging time to remain around 2 hours—comparable in efficiency to SNOWMAN8's full charge time of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. We created a portable lamp that lasts longer, shines brighter, and enables freer use.
