조명의 빛은 단순한 구조에서 시작됩니다. 빛을 내는 광원, 바디를 구성하는 소재 그리고 고정을 위한 부속품. 과거부터 현재까지 조명을 이루는 기본 요소는 크게 달라지지 않았습니다. 그러나 그 기본을 어떻게 다루는가에 따라 결과는 달라집니다. 이번 전시는 우리가 만들어온 제품들을 한자리에서 보여줍니다. 동시에 그 완성된 결과가 어떤 판단과 기준 위에서 만들어졌는지를 함께 설명하는 자리이기도 합니다. 분해된 부품과 내부 구조, 설계 도면과 테스트 기록은 하나의 결과물이 어떤 선택을 거쳐 완성되었는지를 드러냅니다. 우리는 시선을 끄는 오브제를 만들기보다 오래 두고 사용할 수 있는 조명을 만드는 데 집중해왔습니다. 화려한 형태나 강한 자기주장은 시간이 지날수록 쉽게 피로를 줍니다. 반면, 구조가 단단하고 재료가 정직하며 기능이 명확한 조명은 공간 안에서 자연스럽게 자리 잡습니다. ORIGINALITY는 새로움을 과시하는 표현이 아니라, 오래 지속될 수 있는 기준을 세우는 일이라고 생각합니다. 빛의 본질과 구조의 본질 그리고 시간이 지나도 흔들리지 않는 디자인 -그 기준은 언제나 근본(ORIGINALITY) 으로부터 시작됩니다.
The light of a lamp begins with a simple structure: a light source, materials that form the body, and components that hold it together. From past to present, the fundamental elements that compose lighting have not changed significantly. Yet the outcome depends on how those fundamentals are handled. Here in this exhibition, we bring together the works we have created over time. It also reveals the decisions and principles that lie behind each work. Exploded components and internal structures, along with design drawings and test records, reveal the choices that shape each product. Rather than creating objects that merely capture attention, we have focused on crafting lighting that endures. Elaborate forms or overly assertive designs may grow tiring over time. By contrast, lighting with solid structure, honest materials, and clear functionality settles naturally into a space. To us, ORIGINALITY is not about showcasing novelty, but about setting enduring principles. The essence of light, the integrity of structure, and design that endures over time - these always begin at the root: ORIGINALITY.

2025 Salone del Mobile Euroruce
밀라노 디자인 위크에 열리는 세계 최고의 인테리어 박람회인 Salone del Mobile, 그 안에서도 조명 박람회인 Euroluce에서 일광전구는 2021년부터 개발한 포터블, 테이블, 플로어, 펜던트, 벽, 천장의 총 14개 제품으로 구성된 SNOWMAN 시리즈를 선보였습니다. SNOWMAN 시리즈는 출시 직후인 2022년부터 국내에서 큰 주목을 받으며 일광전구를 대표하는 제품이 되었고, 현재는 국제 디자인 등록 후 뉴욕, 도쿄, 홍콩의 MoMA Design Store에서도 만나볼 수 있을 만큼 한국을 대표하는 조명으로 자리 잡았습니다.
At this Euroluce exhibition, ILKW showcased the SNOWMAN series, comprising 14 products including portable, table, floor, pendant, wall and ceiling lights, all developed since 2021. The SNOWMAN series, which gained significant attention in the Korean market from 2022, has become our representative product after international design registration. It is now available at MoMA Design Stores in New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
